Roland Bruce shares workforce insight at Valve World Expo Americas 

NES Fircroft’s Roland Bruce was invited to speak at the Valve World Expo & Conference Americas in Calgary, where he shared insight into the workforce challenges currently shaping engineering projects across the energy sector. 

The event brought together operators, manufacturers and service providers from across the valve supply chain to discuss current priorities around project delivery, reliability and access to specialist skills. 

During the session, the focus was on the difficulty of securing experienced engineering and technical talent, with demand remaining high across both traditional energy and newer sectors. 

The discussion covered how companies are dealing with that pressure, from looking internationally for skills to moving talent between regions and rethinking how teams are structured to keep projects moving. 

The event gave industry a chance to compare approaches and share what’s working, with NES Fircroft contributing its perspective from across global project delivery.
