2021 marks twenty years of Reconciliation in Australia and almost three decades of Australia's formal reconciliation process.
Reconciliation is a journey for all Australians – as individuals, families, communities, organisations and most importantly as a nation. At the heart of this journey are relationships between the broader Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
We recognise that we play a part in reconciliation; we collectively build relationships and communities that value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and futures.
To mark the occasion, the team invited Kyra Galante to the office to speak about the meaning and importance of Reconciliation Week and what everyone can do to contribute to this cause. Kyra is a proud Guburn (Kupurn) woman from the Goldfields region of WA. She has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Indigenous Community Management and Development.
