NES Fircroft has been a key staffing provider to energy projects in the Caribbean for over 12 years.
Our regional headquarters, operating under the trade name NES Global Limited or Fircroft Trinidad Ltd, is located in Port of Spain (Trinidad & Tobago), with a further office in Georgetown (Guyana) and an operational presence in Suriname. Our local presence is backed by a global office network exceeding 80 offices in 45 countries.
Recruitment Expertise in the Caribbean
Our Caribbean operation is headquartered out of our Port of Spain office. We are by far the biggest recruitment agency in the region, the largest in Trinidad & Tobago, and the only global recruitment agency with an in-country presence in T&T.
Our recruitment teams offer local on the ground support for businesses across the full Oil & Gas project lifecycle, from Upstream, Midstream & LNG, to Downstream, including shipping and logistics. Alongside our demonstrable oil and gas expertise, we have also placed specialists onto petrochemical and FMCG manufacturing facilities, and renewable energy projects across the region.
Our local recruitment experience includes staffing solutions in Guyana and Suriname, and puts us in a unique position. Due to our comprehensive experience in the oil and gas sector in particular, we have become the sole staffing supplier to many energy majors in the Caribbean and globally.
Our consultants are discipline-specific, meaning they are truly experts in their markets and keep up to date with emerging trends. Our core workforce solutions include contract staffing and permanent (direct) hire. Our recruitment teams work in tandem with experienced support teams that encompass assignment support professionals, award-winning compliance, legal and finance teams, and travel co-ordinators. Collaboratively, this enables us to provide a full recruitment service offering for contractors that takes care of all administrational needs, including their accommodation and travel logistics and payroll.
Our long regional tenure means that we have a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to be compliant with the Ministry of National Security and the Ministry of Labour. Our Assignment Support teams will organise all required work permits and visas, ensuring that workers arrive on your project site, fully prepared, and compliant with all local legislation.
We are CARICOM registered for recruitment services with a local focus
Through over a decade of operation we have curated local talent pools, and are committed to the growth of the local community, its people and its businesses. We are a truly localised recruitment partner - over 95% of our business is based on engaging local personnel in local work opportunities. We use local banks, local lawyers, and wherever feasible localise our service.
Our established Caribbean presence enables us to offer second-tier support for companies in Guyana. Without a legally registered entity, businesses cannot apply for a work permit in-country. By being fully registered in-country, we pay local taxes and can facilitate non-Guyanese entities for project work.
Whilst we have a wealth of experience in hiring nationals from across the Caribbean, we can leverage our wider North American and global office network to source talent from overseas when required. In comparison to the rest of the globe, the oil and gas industry in the Caribbean region remains in a developmental stage. This, coupled with small local populations, has resulted in a limited local engineering talent pool. We’re dedicated to upskilling Caribbean nationals through leveraging our access to international personnel with decades of industry experience under their belt. We’ve engaged local personnel specifically to shadow expatriates on drilling, construction and maintenance projects so that they benefit from hands-on training and can upskill their ability.
We’ve recruited for the following major projects in The Caribbean:
- Calypso

Situated in the country’s capital, our fully operational office is dedicated to meeting local recruitment mandates and holds the best connections for job opportunities in the energy, manufacturing and construction sectors. As investment continues to pour into local infrastructure, we have countless opportunities with EPCs across the board which will enable local workers to refine and expand their technical skills.
Our contractor support services are second to none. We do so much more than just find you a job and endeavour to support new contract hires through every stage of their onboarding. Our dedicated assignment support teams are on-hand to facilitate all necessary paperwork including visas and work permits (where required), local insurances and medical cover, and your transport needs. If you relocate for a job opportunity with us, you will be provided with a dedicated local consultant who knows the area and will organise a meet & greet upon your arrival, including delivering orientation services for you to help you assimilate with your new working environment.
Compliance is of paramount concern – when you apply for a job through NES Fircroft, you can rest assured we’re using our experience to apply all the due diligence necessary to keep you compliant, whether you’re local to the country, the wider Caribbean region, or are an expatriate from the other side of the globe.
