The Challenge
The client had encountered several health and safety challenges across their project portfolio, and subsequently tasked NESF to source a team of highly skilled drilling personnel to oversee the drilling operations and bring the HSE standards back in line with industry standards. 25 specialists were needed to staff a full team of Drilling Supervisors, Drilling Coaches and Drilling HSE Supervisors.
The personnel required were extremely challenging to find; candidates needed at least 20 years of industry experience in delivering multi-location drilling operations whilst managing large multi-cultural teams for oil and gas operators. The urgency of the requirement meant that the mobilisation timescale also posed a significant challenge - the client needed the personnel on site within just 3 weeks of engaging NESF.

Assignment Support
This included a meet & greet for all successful contractors, overseeing their medical assessments, orchestrating visas and work permits for expatriates and arranging travel logistics (including accommodation) for all personnel.

Our commitment to compliance in all areas of the business means we orchestrate due diligence to ensure contractors are fit to work at the specified worksite. For this project, compliance efforts included orchestrating medicals and training for contractors, and offering tax support.
Payroll
Our award-winning payroll team issue online timesheets to make the process as hassle-free as possible for contractors. Our dedicated service and comprehensive methodology alleviated logistical burdens for the contractors and client alike.
The Results
Our experienced team interviewed 150 candidates at a first stage, shortlisting 80 with 35 making it through to a second interview stage.
