Telecom/Senior Engineer oil and gas
 
Contract period: 03.02.2025 - 31.12.2026
Location: Oslo

Main Tasks: 

• Define and development of Telecom philosophy, and design solutions for Telecom sub systems including remote operations, maintenance, monitoring, and new technologies
• Follow up telecom vendors and vendors technical documentation
• Interface to other disciplines, suppliers, other installations, and client
• Develop and complete engineering documents and data registers
• Participate and contribute to relevant test activities
• Define engineering documents 
• Site support to fabrication yard

Qualifications:

• Master or Bachelor degree or relevant technical education
• Ex course (max 5 years old), FSE course
• Long relevant practical experience may outweigh and compensate for a lack of formal education
• Minimum 6 years’ experience from Telecom engineering and telecom system design activities within greenfield oil and gas projects on the Norwegian continental shelf
• Experience and deep knowledge of telecom design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, DNVGL and IEC
• Efficient communicator, who communicates well in English
• Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment
• A natural team player but possess the ability to work independently
• Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
• Proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others
• Innovative approach, eager to improve methodology and solutions
• Ability to understand and implement requirements stated in new standards
