Structural engineer - Senior Engineer 2D/3D

Structural engineer - Senior Engineer 2D/3D with  experience in onshore or offshore projects.
 
Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 11,000 people in more than 20 countries.
 
 
What will you be doing?

• Concept and layout development of structures, including 3D model start-up procedures.
• 3D modeling, design development, and collaboration across disciplines.
• Preparation and extraction of 2D structural drawings from the 3D model.

Qualifications we think you should have:

• Relevant technical education, BSc/MSC is preferred
• Speaks Norwegian
• Experience in modification projects in the offshore industry, preferably from the North Sea
• Ability to work independently across all project phases, from study to execution
• Strong knowledge of E3D, general computer skills, and structural design
• Experience in performing site surveys
• Proficiency in creating fabrication drawings, cutting sketches, and nesting files
• Knowledge of governing regulations and standards
• Software Skills: E3D, TIME and MIPS
