Our client, a Perth CBD based Tier One Mining Operator, is looking for the next Specialist Data Analyst to join them on a 12-month contract basis.
Responsibilities
• Prepare financial analysis reports to assess operational performance for regular reporting and specific business needs.
• Deliver high-quality analysis and insights to support informed decision-making and drive improved business performance.
• Build strong business and commercial acumen among key stakeholders by enhancing financial knowledge and understanding the financial implications of decisions through effective use of information systems.
• Support the delivery of annual capital plans and rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Assist project teams by tracking schedules, monitoring costs, and highlighting potential risks or delays.
• Create, refresh, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to meet organizational needs.
• Develop and maintain custom platforms and applications using Power Platform tools to address specific business challenges.
• Identify gaps and opportunities in existing processes, and enhance performance through data monitoring, analysis, and process improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analysing complex data sets, identifying trends, and proposing actionable recommendations.
What You'll Bring
• Solid understanding of projects across various phases, including initiation, prefeasibility, feasibility, implementation, and close-out.
• Proven ability to manage large, complex data sets, analyse information, and transform it into actionable insights.
• Expertise in creating, maintaining, and enhancing Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Advanced skills in SQL coding and developing solutions using Power Platform tools such as Power Apps and Power Automate.
• SharePoint expertise is desirable, particularly in integrating and managing workflows within the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience driving change and leading process improvement initiatives.
• A proactive mindset with a focus on delivering results and continuous improvement.
• Full working rights for Australia – Perth based candidates preferred due to in office presence requirements.
