Smelter Mechanical Maintenance – FSF & FCF Specialist

Role:
·         To maintain the mechanical reliability, safety, and efficiency of the FSF, FCF, Off Gas Handling system, FSF WHRB, FCF WHRB, SAP WHRB, Dust Handling including associated infrastructure and equipment of the Copper Smelter complex in Indonesia to maximize uptime of the plant and machinery.       
·         To Monitor the deployment and productivity of the outsourced maintenance team under jurisdiction for mechanical maintenance in compliance with all statutory, health, safety and environment norms. 

Focus Area:
1. 
Operational Excellence
·         Developing maintenance strategies and schedules for mechanical equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance
·          Planning Supervising and execution of preventive maintenance, CBM schedule and monthly as well as annual shutdown plan for all mechanical equipment of the FSF, FCF Off Gas Handling system, Dust Handling including their associated infrastructure and equipment in coordination with the Smelter operations team through external vendors to maximize machine contribution, plant availability and uptime
·         Conducting daily inspection of existing equipment to check their functioning as per standard parameters/ efficiency indices and Plan and execution of supervising corrective action in case of any deviation.
·         Managing inventory of spare parts and equipment, ensuring availability for timely repairs and replacements
·         Supervising maintenance of spares and corresponding documentation with respect to ageing
·         Diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues that arise, utilizing technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
·         Supervising implementation of SOPs and Wis

2. Compliance & Sustainability
·         Implementing predictive maintenance schedule as per advice of technical services post condition monitoring to improve sustenance of the plant and equipment
·         Ensuring that maintenance activities adhere to safety standards and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment with focus on
o   PPE usage
o   Work permit and procedure
o   Achieving targeted safety indices
o   Recording incidents
·         Supporting operations for compliance with environmental guidelines and statutory stipulations with focus of daily mechanical maintenance on:
o   Emissions within permissible limit
o   Calibration of equipment on time
o   Energy and water conservation  
·         Ensuring good housekeeping mechanical maintenance
·         Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, sustainability and efficiencies

3. Profitability & Cost Optimization
·         Gives inputs on consumption patterns for preparation of the R&M budget with respect to mechanically operated plant, machinery and equipment under maintenance jurisdiction
·         Optimizing consumption, inventory including spares to eliminate wastage and operate with optimum level of stock

4. Customer Centricity
·         Supervising maintenance of mechanical equipment to support quality compliance, budgeted production and efficiencies
·         Supervising immediate maintenance in case of equipment breakdown or deviation of specified parameters towards restoration of operations
·         Obtaining work permits post timely isolation of areas before implementing mechanical maintenance through contractual team through collaboration with operations team
·         Minimizing internal and external customer response time of self and team
5. Talent Management
·         Supervising optimum deployment of contract labor through outsourced agencies deployment, performance and productivity of contractual maintenance teams
·         Supervising performance of contractual maintenance team under jurisdiction towards maximizing productivity
·         Imparting training to the contractual team under jurisdiction
·         Keeping team motivated to imbibe an autonomous maintenance culture

Specifications:
A. Education
·         Graduate Engineer in Mechanical Engineering or higher in a relevant equivalent field, along with relevant certifications or specialized training
B. Experience
·         7-12 years in mechanical maintenance of Flash smelting furnace WHRB, Water circulation system, Pump, heat exchanger, Blower, fan drag chain conveyor, screw conveyor, ESP, Pneumatic conveying system, of copper smelter or relevant experience in Hot metal large scale process plants with at least 4-5 years of experience of leading teams
