Site Installation Manager

NES are partnered with a leading Cabling and Engineering Client looking for a new Site Installation Manager as a key hire to support on the Bay of Biscay Project.

The role involves leading a HV Cable from Bordeaux to Bilbao. 

This is a 13 month contract based in Bordeaux, accommodation will be funded. 

French and English (Speaking and Writing) would be required for the role. 

1. Civil Works & Traffic Management

• Civil works are not currently part of the jointing sequence planning but may be needed in some cases.
• Traffic management coordination might be required where civil works impact public or site access.
• Civil works will be necessary for pre-commissioning tests and transition joints.

2. On-Site Coordination & Subcontractor Support

• Provide on-site assistance, especially with the local French-speaking subcontractor.
• Support includes:
  • Mobilization and transport of jointing equipment.
  • Daily and weekly planning and coordination of activities.

3. French Procedures & Documentation

• Help navigate French-specific procedures, including:
  • CSPS (Health and Safety Coordination)
  • DHOL (Declaration of Temporary Occupation of Public Land)
  • Hot works permits
• Assist with required certificates and participation in related meetings.

4. Site Planning (AutoCAD Skills Preferred)

• If AutoCAD is available:
  • Create PICs (Plans d’Installation de Chantier) for each joint bay/site.
  • These plans are similar to APDs and guide site setup and logistics.

5. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Support HSE activities with knowledge of French regulations.
• Tasks include:
  • Safety inspections
  • Pre-job meetings for mobilization and transport
  • Ensuring safety compliance in jointing pit
