Job Title: Shutdown Manager – CCGT (Combined Cycle Gas Turbine)
Location: de Marchienne au Pont, Belgium
Contract Duration: January 2026 – September 2027

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Shutdown Manager to lead the preparation and execution of a major outage for a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant in Belgium. The outage is scheduled for summer 2027 and will last approximately two months. The scope may include a gas turbine upgrade.

The Shutdown Manager will oversee a multidisciplinary team of 5–10 people and work closely with the shaft line maintenance contractor, covering gas turbine, steam turbine, and generator scopes. The role requires strong leadership, planning, and coordination skills to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective execution.

Key ResponsibilitiesHealth, Safety & Environment (HSE)
  • Define and validate HSE objectives with the steering committee.
  • Implement HSE organization, procedures, and audits specific to the outage.
  • Ensure HSE compliance across all contractors.
  • Promote transparent collaboration between internal teams and external partners.
  • Participate in safety audits and lead corrective actions.
Operational Planning & Execution
  • Define and validate the organizational structure for outage preparation.
  • Lead steering committee meetings and ensure proper documentation.
  • Set up and manage multidisciplinary preparation teams.
  • Organize work definition meetings and validate work scopes.
  • Coordinate closely with the shaft line maintenance contractor for planning and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with internal modification approval processes.
  • Update and develop site procedures relevant to the outage.
  • Coordinate all preparation activities across maintenance, new works, and projects.
  • Oversee technical and logistical preparation with site teams.
  • Lead procurement coordination, including contractor pre-selection and tendering.
  • Contribute to budget planning and ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Own and manage the outage schedule, ensuring adherence to timelines.
  • Allocate resources and oversee execution, including corrective actions if needed.
  • Ensure rigorous documentation and archive post-outage records.
  • Produce a lessons-learned report to support continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven operational experience in CCGT environments.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership in industrial project management.
  • Extensive experience in maintenance, operations, or project management.
  • Engineering degree (Master’s level or equivalent).
  • Fluent in French and English (spoken and written).
