Role: Senior Well Performance Engineer
Department: FOPS – Well Performance Team
Location: Esbjerg, Denmark
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 12 months
SCOPE OF WORK
• Contribute to the culture by being a role model for safety awareness.
• Own and monitor the potential of wells as assigned by team lead, ensuring optimum Gas Lift and Water Injection into wells.
• Assist tracking and minimization of shortfalls by ensuring their magnitude is understood for both injectors and producers.
• Develop and maintain operational envelopes for producers and injectors; verifying operation within referential limits
• Support the correct allocation of production to wells by, ensuring timely testing and approval of wells tests, specification of well potentials and their communication to the organization.
• Ensure optimal production from the reservoir by providing advice on its management during periods of suboptimal facilities operations.
• Contribute to close collaboration with other asset teams (Field Ops and Smart Room) to ensure shared understanding of well potential, reservoir potential and opportunities for well/reservoir optimization
• Advise on start points for short, medium and long term production predictions and reserves evaluations.
• Advise on data acquisition requirements required to inform future subsurface decisions
• Coordinate data acquisition plans with other teams as required.
• Contribute to integrated field reviews as organized by the Reservoir Management Teams
• Provide well status information for annual reserves reporting
• Perform interpretation when required of transient pressure data, nodal analysis and multiphase network for well optimization
• Provide mentoring to younger / less experienced staff
• Other tasks as requested by manager that can be safely performed
• To safely deliver maximum value from wells by ensuring their optimum operation at all times
BACKGROUND/QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE
• Formal education: MSc - Reservoir or Petroleum Engineering
• Professional experience: More than 7 years of relevant experience;
• Requires strong interpersonal skills with historical operational/well operations experience, recognising and adapting to integration requirements with 2G&R peers, previous experience with complex field reservoir management; prior exposure to long horizontal wells and multi-zone completions desirable
