Due to continued growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Survey Engineer to join our Aberdeen base. The successful candidate will report to the Regional Technical and Operations Manager - EMEA.
Working within our EMEA region, the Senior Survey Engineer role will ensure the smooth day to day running of the rental workshops – Electronic & Mechanical. Supporting a dedicated team of engineers to prepare, repair and maintain a diverse range of electronic survey equipment for our global offshore clients.

Responsibilities:
Main duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Lead the pre-hire preparation and configuration of the company’s rental equipment (Electronic & Mechanical), to meet customer’s specifications & deadlines, which will include QC checks prior to dispatch.
  • Mentoring rental engineers and sharing technical knowledge to develop understanding and competency within the company. This will involve internal assessment and sign off on Competency to enable the continuous development of the technical team.
  • Responsible for Department KPI’s - Post Hire Testing, Maintenance & Repair of company’s asset pool.
  • Ability to write and QC detailed client issued Technical Fault reports.
  • Ensuring the company’s Asset Management System is correctly updated at all times in line with company procedures.
  • Support clear & effective communication between the Workshop, Sales and Operations teams. Communication between the technical workshops to meet targets within the region is essential.
  • Assisting the Regional Technical Operations Manager and taking on additional responsibility to support company requirements.
  • Lead the region’s 24/7 Technical Support service and become part of the out of hours rota to ensure clients have comprehensive out of hours technical support. Ensuring sound technical support is offered and issues communicated internally.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures.
  • To carry out other duties as required.

Requirements:
Requirements of the Role:
  • Degree qualified in an electrical and/or electronic discipline or relevant academic, trade or forces experience.
  • Previous position within offshore Survey, ROV operations or Marine electronic engineering.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • High standard of QHSE in the workplace.
  • Ability to work as a team taking directions but also encouraging others to develop.
  • Ability to work independently and confidently when representing the company at client premises.
  • Ability to follow procedures and processes correctly.
  • Have a flexible and pro-active approach to working and learning.
  • Willing to Travel to support both clients and regional sites globally.
