We are currently recruiting a Senior Structural Engineer (Oil & Gas) to join our client (Global Oil & Gas EPC) in Darwin, NT.

This is a permanent role to join our clients’ Oil and Gas Operations team, due to recently securing several large projects with existing long-term clients, in addition to partnering with a major player in the Oil & Gas industry to provide Brownfield Engineering, Procurement and Construction services on a long-term, Engineering Service Contract. 
 
Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Head of Discipline in Structural and Civil, you will be working across FEED / Execution to EPCM delivery, with a focus on design. To be successful in your Senior Structural Engineer role, you will have prior Senior engineer level working experience in the Offshore LNG, Oil & Gas sectors within an EPCM engineering and maintenance project environment with both onshore and offshore scope of work engagements. 
Your responsibilities will be:
  • Structural engineering activities across the project life cycle (Concept, FEED, detailed design) to produce fit for purpose solution
  • Produce cost effective Structural engineering reports, documents and deliverables for inclusion in workpacks
  • Ensure as far as practically possible all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule
  • Provide technical assistance to others when required
Qualifications:

Ideally, you will be a suitably qualified engineer with a degree from a recognized institution and have proven experience in the Oil & Gas sector in Australia.
In addition, you will have:
  • 6+ years relevant experience as a Structural Engineer in Oil & Gas
  • Experience in Offshore site environment and site surveying/scoping
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with the client
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritise
  • Experience in the use of relevant software packages (e.g. SACS, StaadPro)
  • Experience in the use of API, AISC and ISO design codes
  • You will be an Australian citizen or be eligible to hold Permanent Residency (PR) to work lawfully in Australia. 
  • Must be currently based in Darwin / willing to relocate to Darwin.
