Senior Reservoir Engineer
 
Contract period: ASAP - 12 months duration
Location: Stavanger

Main Tasks: 

- Support Company’s portfolio of development and production assets with critical reservoir
engineering analysis
- Build reservoir simulation and analytical models as required for Company’s discoveries and
producing fields
- Use advanced numerical simulation and analytical techniques to forecast oil and gas
production from both new and existing Company’s hydrocarbon fields
- Collaborate with other technical professionals in devising economically viable
development plans for oil and gas accumulations
- Provide reservoir engineering input to support the exploration team (tech-ec)
- Provide input to asset reporting on a routine basis (annual reserves reporting, monthly
production forecasting, annual production budget)
- Maintain key Life of Field input and assumptions for asset evaluations
Acquire/coordinate specialized reservoir studies such as PVT, SCAL, DST and well
stimulation
- Provide well planning and input to asset long term planning
- Day to day communication and input to Area Team Lead
- Actively cooperate within the team and across teams, as appropriate, to ensure free
exchange of information, knowledge and resources in pro-active manner
- Cooperate with interdisciplinary team to ensure good quality of input (petrophysics,
SCAL, PVT, G&G) and output (economics, commercial aspects) to in-house models
- Keep abreast of new developments in geoscience/reservoir technology and explore
possible applications to exploration and development opportunities
- Maintain professional knowledge base, particularly best practice

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree – Petroleum Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience from NCS activity and regulatory requirements
- 10+ years’ experience in reservoir engineering, covering field
development and production phases, preferably with an operator
- Detailed understanding of risk and all factors effecting volumetric
and reserves estimation
- Advanced user of Excel spreadsheets
- OFM, MBAL, Eclipse/Petrel RE
- Decline curve analysis of production forecasting
- Experience with well test analysis
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, ability to build
relationships and to influence others
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Proactive and able to work with little supervision
- Structured, with good analytical skills
- Fluent in English written and oral
