Our client, a global energy company, are currently looking for a Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their Perth based team on an initial 12 month contract.

Senior Reservoir Engineer – NWS

Job Description:

This position will see the successful candidate support the mature ~34Tcf GIIP North West Shelf asset with significant ullage emerging in the onshore LNG trains and a resulting focus on WRFM, infill wells and late life asset simplification.

You will report to the Development Manager NWS becoming part of an integrated NOV Governance team and also a member of the company’s Development West community. You will work within an integrated team with the expectation of delivering all necessary reservoir engineering activities across the assets with autonomy. Given the broad-ranging nature of Non-Operated Assets your activities are both inward and outward facing; studies, forecasting & reporting as expected for a major contributor to company production & revenues and outward facing; JV sub-committees, JV working groups etc. to shape company governance, our Key Focus Areas (KFAs) and ultimately our vote in JV decision-making. Key emerging areas in 2025+ extend operational WRFM into NWS infill projects seeking to take FID and significant commercial activities.

Position responsibilities:

Deliver all aspects of reservoir engineering scope including but not limited to; the Integrated Reservoir Modelling support of business decisions/reporting, reserves updates, annual business planning and influencing WRFM plans. Occasionally represent the company in all subsurface-related JV governance. You will be responsible for tracking / assessing asset / Operator performance, identifying performance gaps and determining Key Focus Areas (KFA). Skills and Requirements:

- Mastery in Integrated Reservoir Modelling & Management
- Skilled is reserves reporting
- Skilled in WRFM and subsurface project delivery
- Skilled in Previso a bonus
- Can build and sustain trusting, collaborative and respectful relationships with both JVP's to best influence Operator & align on JV business goals and company internal capability and      assurance teams.
- As a senior reservoir engineer within the governance team you will know how to contribute towards a high-performing team.
