About the role

As the Senior Reliability Engineer for Fixed Equipment, you are the go-to person for site compliance on FEMI and pressurised equipment, providing informal leadership at plant level on regulatory compliance and preventative maintenance plans development and implementation. A focus in this role will be utilising your robust knowledge on regulation for pressurised equipment to define, develop and roll out these preventative maintenance plans to ensure site compliance with audits, as well as audit preparation. Robust knowledge on national regulations for pressurised equipment and Mechanical Integrity (MI) know-how is essential, as is expertise on guiding materials and fixed equipment installation, monitoring and oversight so that existing pressurised devices and safety equipment have the correct functionality and maintenance is up to required standards.

Responsibilities include:
  • Be main point of contact for audit preparation to ensure site compliance with regulations and best practices for fixed pressurised equipment.
  • Provide ongoing supervision, maintenance and cleaning for mechanical fixed equipment on site.
  • Ensure manufacturing facility is utilising pressurised devices and safety equipment correctly and compliantly.
  • Prepare and plan for independent third-party audits throughout the year and during turnarounds.
  • Interface with other departments to ensure site leads are up to speed on audit preparation requirements.
  • Collaborate with independent third-party audit company in plan preparation to ensure correct preventative maintenance is carried out on fixed equipment to avoid plant shut down.
  • Define, develop, roll out and supervise correct implementation of preventative maintenance plans for pressurised equipment at site level.
  • Participate in projects and lead project activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated robust knowledge with in-country regulations for pressurised fixed equipment.
  • FEMI (Fixed Equipment Mechanical Integrity) knowledge for pressurised and process (fixed) equipment.
  • Expertise in defining, developing, implementing and monitoring preventative maintenance plans in a process industry manufacturing setting.
  • 5+ years’ previous audit preparation experience and/or leading audits at site level for regulatory compliance.
  • Materials knowledge such as corrosion and installation limitations for various metals and acids.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems or relevant.
  • Previous experience with SAP systems is advantageous.
