Senior Piping Stress Engineer

We are currently recruiting a Senior Pipe Stress Engineer for a Global Oil & Gas EPC on a short term contract (3 months initially) to assist with a close out on a major project to be based in the Perth CBD.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pipe stress analysis.
  • Conduct analysis of piping components against new design conditions and determine fitness for service
  • Perform and check engineering calculations including pipe stress analysis, FIV/AIV/FIP etc.
  • Ensure work is completed in compliance to Client specifications, and where necessary be proficient in raising Technical Queries and/or Deviations with Client.
  • Develop critical engineering design deliverables
  • Respond to piping site queries from offshore during construction.
  • Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Company policies and procedures.
 Experience:
  • +7 years in piping engineering role
  • Degree Qualified
  • Significant CAESAR II Pipe Stress Experience
  • Oil and gas industry experience.
  • Chartership (e.g. CPEng / IMech) preferred but not essential.
  • Brownfield project experience with a “construction led design” mentality.
  • Construction support experience on operating asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively with other team members.
