Senior Integrity Engineer – Driving Safety and Reliability in Oil & Gas Pressure Systems

Join a leading Oil & Gas Operator’s UK Integrity team as a Senior Integrity Engineer, playing a crucial role in maintaining the safety, compliance, and optimal performance of pressure systems across both onshore terminals and offshore assets.

Based in either Dimlington or Norwich, you will take ownership of pressure system integrity under stringent PSSR and COMAH regulations, delivering hands-on technical expertise that ensures assets remain fit for service.

Your work will shape inspection strategies, manage Written Schemes of Examination (WSE), oversee PSV processes, and lead defect assessments and fitness-for-service evaluations—all while fostering continuous improvement through risk-based inspection (RBI) and proactive repair management.

Required Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of pressure system integrity and compliance with PSSR and COMAH requirements
  • Expertise in inspection strategies, Written Schemes of Examination (WSE), and PSV management
  • Strong background in defect assessment, fitness-for-service (FFS) evaluations, and repair planning
  • Experience using risk-based inspection (RBI) principles and managing integrity databases (preferably MAXIMO)
  • Proven ability to support audits, regulatory engagement, and failure investigations
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear technical guidance across multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong IT proficiency and organizational skills to manage complex data and reports effectively
Nice to Have Skills
  • Offshore asset integrity experience
  • Familiarity with corrosion mechanisms and mitigation methods within Oil & Gas
  • Experience working directly with regulatory bodies such as HSE
  • Chartership or progression towards Chartered Engineer status
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies within safety-critical environments
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a closely related discipline
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) qualification or working towards accreditation
  • 5–10 years of relevant Oil & Gas industry experience, with a focus on pressure systems integrity in high-hazard environments
Other Requirements
  • Flexibility to be based in either Dimlington or Norwich offices
  • Willingness to engage with offshore teams and occasional travel between site locations as required
  • Commitment to adhering to and promoting safety and regulatory compliance in all aspects of work
