Job Role
- Perform electrical engineering calculations and design reviews for the upgrade of existing conveyor systems.
- Lead and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems.
- Review mechanical packages and collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
- Prepare and review load flow, short circuit, and harmonic studies.
- Support the development of MTOs/lists and ensure alignment with Australian Standards.
- Contribute to earthing (step-touch) and lightning protection system designs.
- Australian accredited Electrical engineering degree.
- 5–10 years of experience in the iron ore industry, particularly with LV & HV systems up to 33kV.
- Experience with HV and LV switch room systems and distribution transformers.
- Familiarity with Australian Standards and WA mining practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in interpreting technical documentation and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience with design tools such as Digsilent Power Factory, ETAP, or SKM Power Tools (desirable).
