Role: Senior Corrosion Engineer
Location: Paris, France
Duration: 12 month renewable contract
Start date: ASAP
The Senior Corrosion Engineer will be responsible for Materials Selection and Corrosion activities to be performed by the subcontractor on multi-projects.
Scope of work:
The Senior Corrosion Engineer will perform the following tasks:
• Perform Materials Selection and Corrosion risk assessment
• Develop Corrosion Control Philosophies, Corrosion Management Programs and Material Selection Reports
• Perform Corrosion Rate Prediction with Modelling Software
• Define Corrosion Monitoring requirements for material Requisitions and Technical Tabulations
• Manage Corrosion Monitoring Requisition and Review Vendor documents taking into account schedule constraints
• Participate in meetings with Clients and Partners
• Manage interfaces with other Disciplines
• Produce quality deliverables, data gathered is accurate, assumptions are logical and documented
• Report on activities performed on a weekly basis to the Materials & Welding Lead on the assigned Project
Basic Documentation
The basic documentation provided by the Client to subcontractor is:
- The Project Documents and International Standards
- The Department Welcome Booklet (QHSE Booklet….)
Qualifications & Experience required
• Msc Degree in Engineering, preferably Materials, Metallurgy or Corrosion,
• 10 years experience minimum in Corrosion with solid knowledge of engineering processes for all types of O&G contracts,
• Good knowledge of applicable code & standards related to materials selection and corrosion risk assessment,
• Work proficiently in English,
• Self-managing, dynamic and responsive
• Good teamwork and inter-personal skills,
PROCEDURES - METHODOLOGY
Project Procedures, the State of Art, as well as the Quality Procedures applicable to the relevant project, shall be implemented, in particular for:
- Performing the Scope Of Work requested
QUALITY OF THE ISSUED DOCUMENTS
Documents issued by the subcontractor shall have the required quality according to above defined tasks, in particular:
- Technical quality
- Content quality (in relation with information contained in documentation)
- All documents will be written in the contract language
The Clients operational representative may at any time check the work being done by the subcontractor and reserves the right of intervention while performance is under way in order to enforce compliance with the contract. The subcontractor’s contractual responsibilities will not be released.
SCHEDULE AND TARGETS
The subcontractor will follow the Project Planning targets. These documents are available with the Clients operational lead representative.
