Migration of SAP BW and EWM SAP systems into AWS Cloud solution.

My client is in the process of landing their SAP landscape into the AWS Cloud solution and SAP EWM and BW applications are on the forefront of that migration. In order to run the process smooth and coordinate the efforts of this journey, they need an experienced technical migration manager, to support our technical teams from multiple IPL’s to run towards a common goal. As this is the new area for their IT, candidates should have an experience with such projects before, to be able to point for the potential challenges and issues before they arise and provide guidance on governance setup, execution and successful transition into operations in the new landscape. This initiative will be used as a role model and methodology establishment for the next waves of the migration both our SAP and non-SAP solution to AWS Cloud.

Senior AWS Migration Manager Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of application migration methodologies into the AWS Cloud, particularly to support the SAP BW/EWM journey.
  • Experience as an Epic Owner with hands-on involvement in migration projects, not limited to administrative tasks but with the ability to understand and apply related methodologies, terminologies, best practices, and potential risks.
  • Prior experience in migrating SAP applications to AWS is highly preferred.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple IPLs (DK, PL, MY) and escalate potential issues to senior management when necessary.
  • Responsible for establishing a structured setup and governance framework to guide the migration efforts.
  • Proficient in navigating technically challenging environments and addressing challenges across different domains, particularly in a first-mover scenario
  • Capable of preparing and executing cutover plans, ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Responsible for overseeing the transition to operations, including building internal knowledge and capabilities within my clients teams.
  • Need to communicate efficiently on multiple levels: with technical leaders, architects, but also senior executives.

Candidates must be eligible to work in Denmark
