Nevada is New Zealand’s leading provider of Farm Dairy Effluent equipment. A family business based in Hawera, Taranaki and working with dairy farmers and contractors NZ-wide.

With continued forecasted growth we are seeking in this newly created role a sales hunter who is passionate, energetic, reliable, and well-mannered to join their professional team. You will be a self-motivated salesperson with a proactive can-do attitude. Your strategic and analytical thinking skills, alongside your ability to work within a small and dedicated team or independently will assist you in exceling in this position. You will be part of a high performing team that strives for 100% customer satisfaction which is what the company is renowned for, while full training and tools will be provided from a supportive team.

The purpose of this role is to grow sales of Nevada equipment and complete farm dairy effluent systems with coverage over a number of regions in both the North and South Island.  You are likely to spend a couple of days out on the road per week and on average spending a night away from home per week.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Follow-up leads, identify customers pain points and challenges, and close sales with a solution that works for both Nevada and their customers.
  • Pro-active outbound phone calls to customers and leads.
  • Face to Face visits to dairy farmers and contractors within certain regions in NZ
  • Creation of quotes with the assistance of sales-support.
  • Hit sales budgets.

What you’ll need to succeed:
  • You will be a tenacious hunter that is highly motivated with excellent communication skills.
  • Have experience with Microsoft Suite computer skills.
  • Exposure to using a CRM system would be beneficial.
  • A reliable, well-mannered, proactive self-starter with a hunger to help customers and grow sales.
  • A background in doing business with farmers is beneficial, but not a necessity.
  • A good positive attitude.
