About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Safety Engineer to join a dynamic team working on major biomethane infrastructure projects across Europe. Based in La Défense, you will support our client through a technical assistance contract, contributing to the design, review, and implementation of safety strategies for cutting-edge renewable energy facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct safety studies (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, QRA, etc.) for biomethane production and distribution projects.
  • Ensure compliance with European and local safety regulations and standards.
  • Participate in risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate hazards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (process, mechanical, electrical, civil) across various project phases.
  • Support the development of safety philosophies, fire protection strategies, and emergency response plans.
  • Review and validate technical documentation from engineering contractors and vendors.
  • Provide technical input during design reviews and audits.
Profile
  • Degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical/process safety, ideally in the energy or renewable sector.
  • Strong knowledge of European safety regulations and methodologies.
  • Experience with biomethane, biogas, or gas infrastructure projects is a strong plus.
  • Fluent in English; French is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe as needed.
