Safety Case / COMAH Engineer
📍 Norwich – Staff Position

Join a team that keeps the energy industry safe and compliant working with a leading Oil & Gas Operator!

We're looking for a proactive Safety Case / COMAH Engineer to support our expanding Licence to Operate team in Norwich. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals managing Offshore Safety Cases and Onshore COMAH Safety Reports for our clients critical infrastructure across the Southern North Sea (SNS) — including two COMAH sites and over 30 offshore assets.

You’ll be the go-to for ensuring these documents are kept up to date, technically sound, and aligned with regulations — playing a key part in the safe, smooth running of our operations.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Lead updates and submissions of Safety Cases and COMAH Reports
  • Coordinate material changes and manage stakeholder input
  • Maintain risk data (bowties, QRA, etc.) and support hazard management
  • Liaise with performance standard owners, projects, and operations teams
  • Drive compliance with COMAH and SCR 2015 regulations
  • Manage review schedules and regulatory engagement
  • Champion accuracy and continuous improvement in all documentation
What we’re looking for:
  • 10+ years in Oil & Gas (UKCS), COMAH, or working with the regulator
  • Strong knowledge of SC/COMAH regs & supporting legislation
  • Experience with QRAs and safety documentation
  • Confident communicator and team player
  • Engineering degree preferred; CEng desirable but not essential
