MECHANICAL SPECIALIST ROTATING EQUIPMENT AND OVERHAULING
(National - Site Based)
Some of your duties will include:
  • To maintain the reliability, safety, and efficiency of mechanical System like rotating equipment maintenance, overhead crane maintenance, fabrication, hydraulic and utility equipment maintenance work including associated infrastructure and equipment of the Copper Smelter to maximize uptime of the plant and machinery. 
  • Mechanical specialists must ensure the complete copper smelter equipment maintenance on day-to-day basis as per manager/Superintendent/supervisor given task, they may be worked by hand with the help of contract crew for emergency break-down of equipment.
  • They have to do some critical assembly like critical pumps,  gear boxes, RAV, hydraulic cylinder, wheel assembly, high speed compressor/blower, alignment of any rotatory equipment, and critical equipment bearing fitment.
  • To monitor the deployment and productivity of the outsourced maintenance team under jurisdiction for mechanical maintenance in compliance with all statutory, health, safety, environment norms.
What skills and experience do you need?
  • Diploma Engineer in Mechanical or higher in a relevant equivalent field, along with relevant certifications or specialized training
  • 12-15 years' experience in overhauling experience encompassing pumps, gearbox, fan, and screw feeders. at least 4-5 years of experience of leading teams
  • Understanding of process in copper smelter, hot metal plant, cement plant, nickel smelter, steel plant and/or chemical plant with good understanding in maintenance and reliability of above-mentioned equipment
