Rig Geologist required for an Immediate start

NES Fircroft are partnering with a global resources client who are looking for a RESOURCE DEFINITION RIG GEOLOGIST to join the team. This is initially a 10 month contract
 

SALARY & BENEFITS  
  • Salary will depend upon experience - circa 700-800 per day + super
  • 10 month contract
  • Fortnightly pay
  • Dedicated NES Fircroft Consultant and Support Staff available throughout your contract
 
ABOUT YOU  
  • Tertiary degree in Geoscience alongside an absolute commitment to safety
  • Experience managing drill rigs with an understanding of iron ore minerology and experience logging iron ore
  • Knowledge of Vulcan/ Leapfrog / Surpac is an advantage
  • You will also ideally have a 4WD and First Aid certificate
  • Ability to work both autonomously with minimal supervision and as part of a large team
 
THE JOB ROLE  

This role is offered on a 10 month contract , 8:6 FIFO Perth

Main Duties include;
  • Monitoring safety compliance in the field alongside the daily supervision of Reverse Circulation drill rigs and management of drilling campaigns 
  • High quality logging of RC chips whilst ensuring sample quality on the rigs 
  • Assist with geological, structural and mineralisation mapping
  • Participate in monthly rig audits
  • Drawing on experience to help drive innovation within the team whilst fostering a positive safety
