Joining an ambitious and dynamic project, you will be part of the Program Controls & Governance team as a Quantity Surveyor / Evaluator (of work done). As a Quantity Surveyor, you will act as a business partner to the Project team and play a crucial role in managing the project delivery and work packages monitoring and controlling project, ensuring adherence to budgets, providing on-time, reliable and quality analysis. You will bring exceptional commercial acumen, negotiation skills, analytical skills, a strong understanding of project management and delivery principles, and a keen eye for detail to drive the financial success of our projects.  

Main tasks
  • Develop price/forecasts for the cost of the different components needed for a project. Understand the needs of the Project for price or feasibility.
  • Track changes to the design and/or construction work for the project work packages and adjusting budget projections in line with these for.
  • Calculate material quantities and costs, labor costs and an achievable project timeframe for the project work packages.
  • Measure and value the work done on project work packages. Validate, challenge, analyze and recommend action on all relevant agreed Project KPIs for the project work packages. i.e. Value of Work Done, Earned Value Management, Schedule Performance Index, Cost Performance Index, etc
  • Prepare accurate and timely project / work packages cost reports, including cost estimates, cost forecasts, cost performance analyses for management.
  • Collaborate and deliver with EPCm to monitor subcontractors, construction progress and material needs, including any changes which may impact costs. Prepare labor and supplier accounts for payment. Write reports detailing costs and progress.
  • Collaborate with Contractor(s) EPCM/PMC to collect project cost data periodically and verify that the Forecast to complete remains in accordance with the established plans and schedules. Highlight and communicate variance to stakeholders on timely basis and ensure corrections / updates are performed with EPCM. Prepare periodic summary on contractor and EPCm performance for the management.
  • Collaborate with different internal stakeholders to understand, update, and build a reliable forecast on project costs.
  • Analyze project / work packages budgets, actuals, forecast to complete, estimate at completion, and variances, identifying potential risks and opportunities for cost savings or cost overruns.
  • Monitor project / work packages progress, track actual costs, and compare against budgeted costs, identifying any deviations and recommending corrective actions to project stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular control meetings with project teams, providing guidance on progress, cost management, assisting in budget planning, and addressing any cost-related concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant financial regulations and standards.

  What we’re looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Enggineering, construction, or business administration. A relevant professional certification (e.g., PMI) is a plus.
  • +5-10 year Quantity Surveyor experience in multi-million complex project is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, cost control methodologies, and financial analysis techniques. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to gather and interpret complex financial data.
  • Being about to see the big picture and a hands-on mentality to drill deep when needed
  • Proficiency in ERP / IT tools (SAP, BW, Power BI), including advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, negotiation skills, detail-oriented mindset, with ability to deliver with accuracy, on-time and reliability.
  • Ability to deliver on deadlines, to handle multiple tasks (exceptional organizational and prioritization skills) and ability to handle pressure
  • Effective communicator, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proactive and self-motivated individual who can work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  It’s a plus if you also have the following
  • EPCM and PMC  interface experience
  • Experience in large scale project mode
