NES Fircroft are working on behalf of a global power cabling business actively sourcing a Quantity Surveyor to join their high profile renewables project.

The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team, other quantity surveyors and the Subcontracts Manager across the project in reviewing and managing contracts and managing bill of quantities across construction elements associated with the project. This will also involve discussing, assessing and agreeing stage payments with subcontractors alongside evaluating and managing any additional work cost associated.
The scope is to build access roads and infrastructure to be able to proof, (repair) and use the already pre-installed ducts to install 37km of onshore cable form the landfall up to the converter station.

The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team, other quantity surveyors and the Subcontracts Manager across the project in reviewing and managing contracts and managing bill of quantities across construction elements associated with the project. Essentials:
- Experience in an engineering QS role (construction, power, HVDC Cabling)
- Proficient contract review within construction
- 5 Years + experience in this setting
- Strong communicator, able to collaborate across functional teams
- Opening and reinstatement of jointpits, cable pulling etc. to be performed by sub-contractors so similar experience would be appreciated.
- Ipswich based or willing to travel to hold a site presence
