QHSE Lead

Role:

This includes but is not limited to:

• The QHSE Advisor will assist with the continued implementation of the Quality, health, safety, and environmental program.
• Provides advice and assistance to Line Managers and Supervisors on all aspects of safety management
• Experienced with performing risk assessments of both technical (equipment) and operational (functional operations)
• Proficient in the generation of manual handling and COSHH assessments and managing MSDS library.
• Ensures that relevant Health and Safety Legislation, Company Health and Safety Standards and Industry Practices are complied with.
• Takes the lead in the investigation, recording, and reporting of all incidents to identify causes and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence.
• Manages the MOC process and any non-conformance occurrence and ensures all outcomes and learnings are captured within the ERP system
• Actively contributes to developing new standards and techniques that will provide direction and guidance to employees
• Ensures that the developed process is innovative, creative, and that the compliance requirements are met.
• Reviews the HSE policies to ensure that they are applicable in the region and are updated to meet the most current industry regulations.
• Familiar with LOLER and PUWER regulations and assessments
• Is responsible for ensuring the training requirements are met, HSE policies and procedures are followed, and implements changes to ensure compliance with changing regulations or perceived best practices.
• Liaises with clients to address HSE related questions or concerns
• Prepares company HSE bulletins and ensures relevant industry learnings are incorporated and communicated


This role requires a candidate with the following qualities:

• The QHSE Advisor should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills both within the management team and with operational personnel and be able to communicate effectively with customers and clients out with the group
• He/she should have good analytical skills with proven leadership quality.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel
• Excellent time management and organizational skills within a fast paced and dynamic environment
• He/she should have a vision to implement changes that will affect the organization in a positive way.
• A pragmatic approach to problem solving is required


Experience (Preferred):

• Either the NCRQ Certificate in Applied Health and Safety or the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
• 5+ years’ experience in the upstream Oil and Gas Industry
• 5+ years’ experience in Well Intervention activities
• Experience with a Well Intervention, heavy engineering or drilling background is advantageous
