We are currently assisting our client in their search for a QC Inspector (Civil & Structural) to join their projects team based in Brisbane. This will be a key position ensuring the quality of related civil activities undertaken on the project meet contractual requirements. The role will be a full-time, permanent position, based in Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all Quality Control (QC) activities are performed safely and with consideration of environmental impacts.
  • Adhere to the approved Project Quality Plan (PQP) at all times while on site.
  • Conduct QC inspections for Civil work, piling, Earthwork, and Structural tasks.
  • Identify, document, and report any deviations from engineering specifications, deliverables, and standards to the QC Lead in a timely manner.
  • Follow up on deviations to ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Manage and retain documentation related to all QA/QC activities (e.g., inspection, audit, and surveillance reports).
  • Contribute to weekly and monthly QC reports as requested by the QC Lead.
  • Maintain a high standard of competency, and initiate any necessary training to ensure skills are up to date.
  • Support the Civil/Structural Supervisor and Construction team.
  • Foster positive working relationships with both Kent and Client personnel.
  • Develop strong relationships with sub-contractors.
  • Participate in site, company, and client meetings as required.
  • Ensure all test documentation, records, as-builts, and commissioning/handover documents are complete, up to date, and traceable.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the QC Lead.

  • Any other ad hoc duties as assigned from time to time by the QC Lead
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Civil Construction (or equivalent) or
  • Certificate III in Concreting (or equivalent) or
  • Certificate III in Foundations (or equivalent) or
  • Bachelor’s degree Civil/Structural
  • Held a position in a QC Civil Inspection previously
  • General Construction Induction - CPCCWHS1001 Card or equivalent
  • Confined space entry – RIIWHS202E
Skills Requirement:
  • Experience in oil and gas refining or similar process led industry would be advantageous.
  • Shall be fully conversant with applicable industry standards and specifications.
  • Proactive and solution orientated
  • Computer literate, familiar with proprietary administration software.
