Position Title: Project Engineer
Hire Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Location: Houston, TX Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days in office / 2 WFH

Summary
Provides technical advice to customers, regulatory agencies, and sales personnel responding to product related questions, issues and problems. Ensures successful completion of customer projects. May make technical presentations at sales meetings and customer locations. Acts as a liaison between sales personnel, clients and technical staff
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
• Educate prospective customers about the superior benefits of flexible steel pipes.
• Offer market comparisons of competitors to demonstrate advantages of choosing our product.
• Provide intensive pre-sales technical consulting to Sales staff and prospective clients, participating in conference calls and possible site visits with account executives.
• Document all customer questions to ensure immediate follow-up on all outstanding issues.
• Consult with the account executive during the proposal process to ensure that all technical information and recommendations address customer requirements.
• Supporting Account Management, Marketing, and customers to ensure features are understood and how they might increase the value of new pipelines or rehabilitation applications.
• Perform pipeline engineering calculations to support current and potential customer projects.
• Project Manage development and qualification of solutions to support new market areas including fluid compatibility testing, new applications testing, and integrity management tools/programs.
• Provides product support to customers from sales inquiries through product installation and commissioning.
• Provides support as needed to customers and Field Services team to address unplanned installation and operating conditions.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, industry standards or governmental regulations.
• Prepare documents illustrating conformance of product to technical procedures, industry standards or governmental regulations.
• Provide timely and accurate feedback to the R&D teams relating to test requirements for product conformance to technical procedures, industry standards or government regulations.
• Active participation on industry standard committees.
• Attend and support trade shows, fellowships, conferences, exhibits, and seminars as requested.
• Writes consistent, clear documentation that presents complex information simply and accurately.
• Produces and/or approves technical manuals, procedural manuals, process specifications, brochures, etc. (hard copy and electronic) that conform to company procedures and/or industry standards.
• Manages multiple projects simultaneously.
• Occasional travel to customers, suppliers, and field sites.
• Other responsibilities as determined by VP of Engineering or delegate.
Education, Experience and Qualifications
• 3+ years’ experience with an EPC or owner-operator focused on midstream transportation
• Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Engineering or Science
• Registration as a Professional Engineer highly desirable.
• Highly computer literate in Microsoft, graphical, and online products
• Ability to operate within a multi-tasking dynamic team environment.
• Ability to effectively present information and communicate at all levels.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
Physical Demands
• Regularly required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; stand, walk and sit; talk and hear.
• Frequent traveling may require sitting for long periods of time (flying and/or driving).
• Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to clearly hear voices or alarms, bells, and other noise.
Work Environment
• Normally work in an office environment or from home as needed by the business; however, occasionally may work at a branch location or manufacturing facility.
• Occasionally may be exposed to hazards such as loud noise, heavy equipment, temperature extremes, chemicals, etc., while visiting a branch location or manufacturing facility.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
