Project Engineer – Gas & Pipeline Projects
Location: UAE (with occasional international site missions)
Contract Type: Expat Contract / Day Rate

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale gas and pipeline infrastructure projects within a complex, international project environment. The role focuses on overseeing engineering and construction activities to ensure safe, timely, and compliant project execution.

This position is well suited to senior engineers with strong experience in contractor management and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the client’s interests across engineering and construction activities
  • Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with scope, schedule, and quality requirements
  • Review and approve technical documentation including designs, drawings, and specifications
  • Track project progress and identify risks, delays, or deviations
  • Manage interfaces across multiple engineering disciplines and stakeholders
  • Support change management, variations, and contractor claims
  • Provide technical guidance to delivery teams and site personnel
  • Prepare regular progress and performance reports
Project Scope
  • Gas pipelines and gathering systems
  • Export pipelines and utilities
  • Interface with processing facilities
  • Large-scale EPC / EPCM project environments
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
  • 12+ years’ experience in project engineering or project delivery roles
  • Strong experience in pipeline and gas infrastructure projects
  • Proven contractor and stakeholder management capability
  • Experience working on international or Middle East projects preferred
  • Professional certifications (e.g. PMP) are an advantage
