Role: Project Construction Quality Control Supervisor

Duration: End of  2025 / Q1 2026
Based: Sluiskil, Netherlands 



The Project Construction Quality Control Supervisor reports to the Quality Manager YTP. For project related matters, the Project Construction Quality Control Supervisor reports to the Project Manager.

Scope of Supply
  • Provide Quality discipline input to the Project Management Team
  • Implement the Project Quality Plan in line with the client's standards and the specific project requirements
  • Implement the Project Audit Program based on project risks and key project activities.
  • Develop and implement a project quality surveillance program to monitor quality of the construction processes on a daily basis

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Promote Quality awareness throughout the project
  • Implement and maintain the Project Quality Plan, Surveillance Programs and other quality procedures and tools
  • Provide oversight of Contractors’ implementation of their Quality program and compliance with project requirements:
  • Attend construction inspections according approved ITP’s
  • Review Contractors’ plans, procedures, processes and documents
  • Ensure audits of Contractors are scheduled and conducted;
  • Plan and conduct “readiness reviews” in cooperation with technical experts and ensure alignment with the start of critical activities (such as installation of machinery, piping installation, Mechanical Completion, etc.)
  • Participate in Contractor audits 
  • Facilitate the resolution and closure of audit findings in a timely manner
  • Facilitate investigations into Quality Incidents
  • Coordinate and report Project quality KPI’s to Project Management Team  and Project Quality Manager
  • Review the technical QA/QC related Contractors documents such as Quality Plans and ITPs (In-spection and Testing Plans) based on regulations, specifications, codes and norms, best practices and risk assessments
  • Ensure inspections are properly and timely organized and recorded in agreed inspection report templates and any technical QC related  issues are timely followed up in cooperation with the engineers. 
  • Ensure that the contractors eliminates the non-conformances by means of approved procedures
  • Follow up Contractor implementation of the accepted QC system in construction
  • Communicate inspections findings and issues with the Project Management Team

Stakeholder Management:

The Project Construction Quality Manager will establish good relations with the Owners / Clients and the Owner's / Client’s organisations, internally in the project and with the relevant internal and external par-ties.
The Project Construction Quality Manager will be responsible and accountable to demonstrate the value, capability & capacity,  and importance of YTP in executing the projects and required assistance for the stakeholders in terms of quality knowhow.
Establish a good contact with relevant external organizations, like suppliers and contractors

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Senior experience with QC processes
  • Senior experience in fabrication and testing processes of static mechanical equipment, specifically: material selection,  welding techniques, welding qualification, coating, (non-destructive) testing  
  • Technical background in Mechanical Engineering
  • Familiar with international codes / norms (Machinery Directive, PED, ASME, EN, ISO…)
  • Experience with inspections of Fertilizer Industry static equipment (shutdown, breakdown inspection…)
  • At least 10 years of experience within construction projects in a similar position.
  • Familiar with chemical Industry process plants
