Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Loss Prevention Process Safety Engineer with 7 to 10 years of experience, including mandatory Process Safety Management (PSM) experience. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Consequence Modelling using PHAST software and have prior knowledge and experience with PHA studies such as HAZOP, LOPA, Bowties, ALARP Studies, and SIL Studies. Knowledge of PHA Pro and Bowtie XP software, as well as QRA and its application, would be considered assets.

Key Responsibilities
:
  • Reviewing Preceding PHA Studies: Become familiar with underlying works by reviewing preceding PHA studies, including HAZOP, LOPA, SIL Study, and Bowtie Reviews, to reference for remaining studies.
  • Consequence Modelling: Conduct Consequence Modelling using PHAST software in accordance with company guidelines and industry best practices.
  • ALARP Study Participation: Participate in ALARP studies following company guidelines.
  • QRA Addendum Assistance: Provide assistance in addendum for the site Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) and subsequent impacts as required.
  • Remedial Actions Support: Assist in compiling and classifying remedial actions, supporting their prioritization and implementation.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Support ensuing documentation and reports arising from the Major Accident Hazard (MAH) studies.
  • HAZOP and LOPA Revalidation: Scribe HAZOP and LOPA revalidation.
  • General Support: Provide any other support to the PSM and Responsible Care functions as required.
Qualifications:
  • About 7 to 10 years of experience in the field.
  • Mandatory Process Safety Management experience.
  • Proficiency in Consequence Modelling using PHAST software.
  • Prior knowledge/experience with PHA studies (e.g., HAZOP, LOPA, Bowties, ALARP Studies, SIL Studies).
  • Knowledge of PHA Pro and Bowtie XP software is an asset.
  • Knowledge of QRA and its application is an asset.
