Position: Procedures Lead – Operations Support Department Location: Qatar
 

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in technical documentation and procedure authoring.
  • Strong understanding of engineering change management and technical document control systems.
Job Purpose: To ensure the development, validation, and continuous improvement of Operations and Maintenance procedures that align with international safety standards and industry best practices, supporting safe and efficient performance across all company assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Revalidate procedures across Onshore, Offshore, Refinery, Terminal, and Maintenance operations to ensure accuracy and safety.
  2. Assess and validate competency packages in line with company standards.
  3. Ensure documentation reflects “as-is” and “as-built” conditions, incorporating lessons learned and best practices.
  4. Identify and implement technical improvements to support evolving operational needs.
  5. Administer the Procedures Review Process using the Document Management Tool to ensure timely updates.
  6. Ensure accurate metadata mapping for all Operations documents.
  7. Coordinate with the Management Systems team to maintain standardized layouts and portal integrity.
  8. Collaborate with Engineering to ensure PI&D updates are reflected in simplified drawings.
  9. Provide guidance and support to teams on procedure lifecycle management.
  10. Lead annual planning for documentation development and resolve complex technical writing challenges.
