NES Fircroft are working with a Major Teir 1 Mining Operator seeking an experienced Portfolio Support Officer/Analyst to join their team in Perth CBD


Location: Perth CBD
Length of Contract: 12 months
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 hour days
Experience Required: 5 + years experience
Start Date:  November 2024


About the role

This role will be responsible for delivering a multi-year end to end programme of work, that will take advantage of advances in digital technologies and ways of working across our iron ore value chain. You will be exposed to new and upcoming technologies, as well as helping shape the digital space for the company.
Reporting to the Programme Lead, your primary focus will be supporting projects to contribute to deliver meaningful business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing purchasing, receipting and invoice processing for the programme in SAP.
  • Supporting resourcing and vendor management activities across the programme.
  • Assisting with cost reporting, forecasting and tracking processes for the programme.
  • Collating workstream updates and preparing programme status reports.
  • Managing team logistics and administration such as training, meetings and team events.
  • Creation and maintenance of projects in SAP, CAPS and CPMS.
  • Booking travel on behalf of projects.
  • Managing expenses for managers within the programme.
  • Supporting planning and logistics for programme and project events.
  • Assisting with applying controls and quality assurance across the programme.
  • Maintaining membership of relevant Teams, SharePoint, Active Directory Groups, Distribution Lists.
  • Ordering and tracking of IT hardware, uniform and PPE.

Experience Required:

  • Experience preparing project status reports and communications.
  • Experience collating and managing project financials in SAP.
  • Knowledge of project controls and governance processes within projects.
  • Experience in corporate environments in large projects or programmes of work.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office suite applications.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Sound time management skills and ability to seek assistance to meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

It would also be beneficial if you have

  • Exposure to a range of change management concepts e.g. PROSCII, etc.
  • Exposure to a range of project management concepts e.g. PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile, Scrum, SAFe
