The Planner requires knowledge and experience across Planning of major capital projects, project controls, commercial and construction activities. The role is responsible for progressing the development planning of an ongoing study into execution schedule for a mega project. This includes the implementation of the progress measurement system and processes; alignment with the cost control systems; managing and leading the contractor schedules, approvals and change management on the schedules; and analysing progress and potential claims.

Key Responsibilities
·Develop and maintain integrated master schedule, and detailed project schedule(s) to ensure timely delivery of project, ensuring integration with interfaces milestones between various contractors and main business objectives
·Analysing contractor project schedules / progress and integration of contractor schedules into the master program.
·Perform "What-if" scenarios as required, critical path and milestone analysis.
·Perform "schedule health check" to meet the highest planning standards.
·Maintain the integrity of the project schedule ensuring logic is sound, and cost/ resource loading of schedules
·Develop documents to support schedule such as basis of schedules.
·Active participation in schedule workshops, risk reviews and change management processes.
·Implement Earned Value Management techniques to measure/status and monitor progress and performance, and present dashboard reports to the Leadership team
·Early diagnosis / reporting of project trends, evaluation of productivity and benchmarking
·Accurate and timely issuing of weekly, month end, quarterly, and ad hoc reports
·Support quarterly capital planning process.
·Coordination of planning aspects within the broader project controls team ensuring alignment and collaboration with the other functions, in particular estimation and Power BI dashboard reporting
·Evaluate Contractor’s progress reporting, with monitoring of the site activities.
·Establish positive working relationships with all parties involved and upholding our values.

Person Specification    
•Minimum of 10 years' experience as a project planner (essential)
•Client-Side experience to have exposure to full project life cycle, from concept through to execution, and the associated gate movements.
•Relevant experience and understanding of project management principles, project control function, including cost control function
•Relevant experience and understanding of scheduling risk concepts and techniques
•Relevant experience and understanding of facilities construction technics, EPC experience is very beneficial 
•Advanced skills Primavera P6, MS Office, Business Intelligence tools like Power BI
•Strong communication skills, ability to interface with project and corporate stakeholders.
•Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision, and within a team
•Awareness and compliance with safe workplace practices and duty of care

Qualifications  
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and commerce/ finance, or equivalent by experience. 
  • Project management or an internationally accredited project controls certification
