NES Fircroft are delighted to be partnering with a major EPC contractor specialized in Marine & Offshore works who are looking for a Piping Layout Lead to work on a major Offshore project in Romania.
The position will be in our client’s office in Paris and will operate on a contract basis for an initial 12-month duration for excellent potential to extend beyond as project work scopes develop. The role will be required to work in Paris full time Monday – Friday. In return the individual will be provided with an excellent day rate

Responsibilities
- Activities will be to supervise ICE ROMANIA, which is in charge of the hull design
- Follow up of piping & layout studies : 3D, quantity management (MTO, BOQ), interface with Topside, interface with others
- disciplines (ELE, INS, STR, EQP). Reporting to Hull Piping lead.
- Analyse technical documents (e.g. specifications, calculation notes, drawings) to assess the scope of the studies required and
- thepotential risks
- Develop the Piping and Layout methodologies / Design basis /design guidelines
- Review project technical documents to validate consistency between the budget, resources for the work completion and the
- targets to be met
Monitor and report actual progress including 3D / check for Discipline activities, including control of man-hours and delivered
- documents
- Estimate quantities or validate estimation done by other specialist of the team
- Attend to internal review activities and inter-discipline check meetings
- Participate in Client Design and model reviews and provide resoultion for client comments.
- Supervise the writing of specifications and requisitions as well as technical bid evaluations
- Provide technical support to Procurement, Subcontracting and Construction activities
- Engineer Diploma in relevant discipline
- Shall have minimum of experience in 2EPC project execution in Oil &
- Gas projects
- Experience in FPSO Hull design & Navel is mandatory
- Knowledge of BV standards code
- English language: able to understand, write technical specifications and participate to clarification meeting with Company
- and/or Vendors
- BOSIET (certifié OPITO)
