Piping and Layout Lead

NES Fircroft are delighted to be partnering with a major EPC contractor specialized in Marine & Offshore works who are looking for a Piping Layout Lead to work on a major Offshore project in Romania.

The position will be in our client’s office in Paris and  will operate on a contract basis for an initial 12-month duration for excellent potential to extend beyond as project work scopes develop. The role will be required to work in Paris full time Monday – Friday. In return the individual will be provided with an excellent day rate



Responsibilities

• Activities will be to supervise ICE ROMANIA, which is in charge of the hull design
•  Follow up of piping & layout studies : 3D, quantity management (MTO, BOQ), interface with Topside, interface with others
• disciplines (ELE, INS, STR, EQP). Reporting to Hull  Piping lead.

Ensure the achievement of assigned goals and the fulfilment of project quality requirements and contractual obligations

•  Analyse technical documents (e.g. specifications, calculation notes, drawings) to assess the scope of the studies required and
• thepotential risks

 Seek solutions which can bring overall savings to the project

•  Develop the Piping and Layout methodologies / Design basis /design guidelines
• Review project technical documents to validate consistency between the budget, resources for the work completion and the
• targets to be met

 Define and follow-up the planning of resources mobilization
 Monitor and report actual progress including 3D / check for Discipline activities, including control of man-hours and delivered

• documents
•  Estimate quantities or validate estimation done by other specialist of the team

 Check all produced documents like design reports, technical specifications, drawings under responsibility

•  Attend to internal review activities and inter-discipline check meetings
•  Participate in Client Design and model reviews and provide resoultion for client comments.
• Supervise the writing of specifications and requisitions as well as technical bid evaluations
• Provide technical support to Procurement, Subcontracting and Construction activities
   

Education

• Engineer Diploma in relevant discipline

Experience

• Shall have minimum of experience in 2EPC project execution in Oil &
•  Gas projects
•  Experience in FPSO Hull design & Navel is mandatory
•  Knowledge of BV standards code
•  English language: able to understand, write technical specifications and participate to clarification meeting with Company
• and/or Vendors
•  BOSIET (certifié OPITO)
