MISSIONS / JOB DIMENSIONS
The job holder mission during Execution phase is as follow:
  • HSE as per the client's standards
  • Management and follow-up on a daily basis of the OSA execution by the GPP EPC contractor in coordination with the GPP package Manager
  • Ensure the GPP contractor execute the OSA scope as per the GPP contract.
  • Identify any deviation and propose correction
  • Liaising with the GGP supervision team to ensure progress execution, quality and HSE on site.
The job holder is in charge of the development and execution of the Operations Support Area located in the gas process plant. The OSA includes administration buildings for field operations such as control room, warehouse, workshops, medical centre, canteen, car park, etc….

ACTIVITIES
The main activities of the job holder are as follow:
  • Follow-up engineering, procurement, fabrication, transportation, construction activities inside and outside Iraq, pre-commissionning, commissionning related to OSA scope.
  • Review and consolidate main documents from GPP EPC CTR.
  • Liaise with and seek support from disciplines engineer (mainly civil engineers and security engineer) as and when required
  • Ensure interface is clear with GPP EPC contract with particular focus on involving GPP ECP CTR in early works activities to accept and take over early works contract works.
  • Follow-up proper maintenance of airlock, main gate and Global Restricted Area (GRA) system by the GPP
  • Contractor during project execution for final handover to Field Operations.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the contract are duly and timely taken into account by the contractor. Assist the contract engineer to evaluate and develop answers to CTR letters.
  • Attend kick-off and pre-production meetings.
  • Ensure scope if performed as per the contractual requirements (especially quality and schedule) and alert the GPP Package Manager in case of deviation. Propose some mitigation to correct any deviation.
  • Tracking production progress, addressing issues including working with CTR to develop and implement recovery plans and report to the GPP Package Manager
  • Frequent mission on site or outside of Iraq during fabrication and construction phases to ensure quality, HSE and progress execution.
  • Liaising with the GGP supervision team located on Site.
  • Ensure completion of all construction steps, pre-commissioning, commissioning.
  • Maintain good relationships with EPC Contractor, but being strict to achieve the project objectives.
  • Contribute to lesson learnt of the project and close-out report
In general:
  • Attend and contribute to the project meetings within CPY and with CTR, especially ad-hoc meetings on GPP
  • To adopt and demonstrate exemplary behaviour with regard H3SE and H3SE rules implementation
  • To adopt and demonstrate exemplary behaviour with regard to Ethics and project “code of conduct” policy
  • To participate to meetings with partners, authorities and other stakeholders as required.
  • To carry out any other duties or tasks that may be required by the position.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Mandatory experience in a similar position: 5 Years
  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • Professional experience: 20 years minimum.
  • Good knowledge in civil works & earthworks, infrastructures, engineering, construction, installation, commissioning of buildings, camps and facilities
  • Knowledge and understanding of contract management
  • Project management skills (Budget/Cost/Schedule)
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural business environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Language: English as mother tongue or Fluent in English (speaking and writing), French and/or Arabic language is a plus.
  • Recent Working experience in Iraq will be an added advantage.
