Responsibilities and Duties

- Operational Excellence Management System Standards and Assurance Protocols: Develop and write standards for the Operational Excellence Management System (in MS Word), gathering inputs from our technical subject matter experts. Develop an assurance protocol for each Standard for future gap assessment.
- Technical Writing and Document Drafting: Create, review, and edit technical documents to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Maintaining Consistency: Ensure all documents adhere to company language and maintain a consistent tone and style.
- Document Control: Manage document control processes, including numbering, version control, document distribution, and archiving.
- SharePoint Management: Oversee the organization and management of documents within our SharePoint-based intranet library, ensuring easy access and retrieval. Manage access permissions for the OEMS Library.
- Project Management: develop a project plan for development of the Operational Excellence Management System Standards and protocols, coordinating with various SME stakeholders to drive progress towards completion.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on document control processes and the use of SharePoint.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical writing within the oil and gas or other high hazard industry. Experience in document control, and SharePoint library management.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Technical Writing, Information Management).
- Skills:
- Excellent technical writing and editing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency.
- Proficiency in document control processes and systems.
- Experience with SharePoint management.
- Good project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in technical writing, project management, change management or document control are a plus.
