In the role of Naval Architect, you will be responsible for contributing to the expertise and knowledge within the Naval Architectural discipline and taking on roles in projects. You will help ensure that knowledge and expertise are maintained and expanded to deliver high-quality and cost-effective designs of the company's products. The focus will be particularly on FPSOs products.

You are expected to be ready to take on a project role as a Discipline Lead Engineer (DLE). As a DLE, you will be responsible for project management functions in leading the discipline, which may consist of up to 3-4 Naval Architects and a few designers/drafters.

Job Requirements
The company is looking for candidates who have an MSc or BSc degree or equivalent (i.e., Professional Certification) in Naval Architecture. You should have at least 7 years of relevant working experience, and previous experience working with the organization is preferred.

Furthermore, you should have:

  • In-depth experience and sound technical knowledge of Naval Architecture in both conceptual and detailed design.
  • Preferably experience in Engineering & Design and/or Operation of floating & production units (FSOs, FPSOs, Oil & Gas and Chemical tankers, Drilling Units, Semi's, TLP) for the Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Good interface knowledge with related disciplines (e.g., Marine systems, E&I, Piping, HVAC, Process & Technical Safety).
  • Familiarity with the rules of classification societies (e.g., ABS, DNV GL, BV, Lloyds) and international organizations, and proper implementation of Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) policies.
