Our client is looking for a *Mechanical Supervisor" who will support the mechanical function on equipment installations on one of the largest construction projects in Europe
Reports to: Construction Manager/Area superintendent
Supervises: Field Supervisors

Reports to: Construction Manager/Area superintendent
Supervises: Field Supervisors
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Maintain coordination with other discipline supervisors/superintendent working in the area to coordinate all the activities and manage related interferences.
- Organize their own activities and the ones of the supervisors assigned in close collaboration with the line Construction Manager, keeping track of the activities carried out through work files, guaranteeing continuity even in the event of absence through sharing of information and teamwork.
- Check the efficient productivity of Subcontractors activities with regards to the quality and quantity (jointly with Project Control).
- Make sure that all the assigned activities are carried out on time, otherwise check deficiency and refer to Construction Manager to promptly define and implement corrective actions that allow compliance with the schedule.
- Verify and discuss with Construction Manager and Field Project Engineer modification or any difference raised on the activity relevant to previous and following points and cooperate with them to issue Sketches Layout (SKL) for the relevant modification, when works must be executed in different way as indicated on drawings.
- Propose any improvement solution that arises during the execution of the works and support the Field Project Engineer in answering to Subcontractor’s site queries.
- Record any modification after approval and, in cooperation with Construction Manager, inform Subcontract Administrator for contractual changing.
- Check in advance, in cooperation with Material Controller, if the material to be used for the erection of planned works is available and report to Area Superintendent/Construction Manager any deficiency and the information on the approximate arriving date of material.
- Make sure that the prefabricated pipes are stored in a suitable place according to the pipe class, that the covers are well installed to prevent internal damage and that they are easily identifiable.
- Ensure that the subcontractor keeps the material received from the warehouse in a suitable and tidy place and that the same is not mixed and used for other purposes than the one for which it was released unless this is explicitly authorized.
- In cooperation with project control and with the Construction Manager/Area Superintendent, define the correct pipe assembly sequences considering the priorities and the available constructability studies.
- Work with the HL supervisor and safety colleagues to ensure that lifts are conducted in accordance with the method statement and that all prescribed lift precautions are followed.
- Has proven interpersonal skills.
- Strong Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Autocad, Naviswork etc).
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
- Works with integrity and ethically. Upholds organizational values.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Have solid background of covered discipline.
- Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in management of construction site.
- Be in possession of VCA-vol certification
