Job Title: Mechanical & Piping Superintendent
Location: Zeebrugge, Belgium

Contract Duration: 12 months
Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical & Piping Superintendent to oversee the mechanical and piping aspects of a gas pipeline project in Zeebrugge, Belgium. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical and piping work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate all mechanical and piping activities on the project site.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of subcontractors and vendors.
  • Review and approve mechanical and piping drawings, plans, and schedules.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during the project.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the project management team.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the project timeline and budget.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical and piping supervision, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and piping systems, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
Working Conditions:
  • This is a site-based position in Zeebrugge, Belgium.
  • The role may require occasional travel to other project locations.
  • The position involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
