Job Title: Materials Specialist – Senior QA/QC Supervisor

Department/Function: PSCM / Materials Management


Location/Rotation: 5 days on / 2 days off

Role Synopsis: 

Material Special - Senior QA/QC Supervisor has all the responsibility of QC Inspector in addition to this he shall,
  • Interrogate relevant specifications and company procedures ensuring all materials received is within the set-out acceptance criteria.
  • Be accountable for the inspection off incoming materials
  • Carrying out material inspection and MTC review as per the NDT requirements for welded pipes, fittings and casting, RT, PT, MPT and UT in accordance with international code.
  • Monitor the storage and preservation of all materials.
  • Monitor calibration status and condition of Inspection/Test and Measuring instruments.
  • Review contract documents to ensure identification and comprehension of quality requirements.
  • Participate in internal & external audits and assessments.
  • Prepare accordingly documents relevant to data control, inspection reporting, technical queries.
  • Prepare non-conformance reports and assist in developing corrective actions.
  • Coordinate all inspection requirements. Verify the product for its compliance to approved data sheets drawings. Produce necessary inspection report and release notes.
  • Integrate with and work alongside the quality team and perform all related tasks as and when requested by the supervisor.
  • Provide technical inputs for vendor queries, conformance reports and non-conformance reports. Review vendor queries, CR (Conformance Reports), NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) for possible resolutions and analyse fitness to purpose. Provide necessary recommendations that need to be forwarded to the client.
  • Ensure all work is correctly prepared prior to any inspection being undertaken.
  • Review all inspection reports for compliance.
  • Perform any duties that may be required to enhance the work


Criteria & Qualifications:
  • Degree/Diploma or equivalent in relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience within a similar role in the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Previous experience working with a major EPC contractor.
  • CSWIP 3.1
  • Certified Welding Engineer (IWE) preferable
  • Member of recognized Engineering / Quality Institute preferable
