Our client, an oil and gas operator, are currently hiring a Leadership Development Team Lead to join the team in London.
 
Purpose of Role:       
We are committed to identifying, developing and progressing our people, driving ongoing success and earning their loyalty so we retain them within our organisation.  The Leadership Development Team Lead role plays a pivotal part in nurturing and developing leaders to progress towards their potential and be ready to rise to evolving market forces and changing business challenges.
This role supports the Leadership and Learning VP to bring the learning strategy to life, by taking the lead on designing, developing and implementing customised leadership development opportunities across a range of modalities, with a focus on scalable solutions for the global team. 
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Source, develop and implement executive and leadership development interventions, aligned with strategic goals, values & behaviours, that enhance Global leadership capabilities across all leadership levels
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning across our global leader community
  • Assure an internal pipeline of leadership talent ready to fill business critical roles
 
Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:
  • Learning Culture: Foster a culture of learning agility where every leader is encouraged and supported to be open to new and smarter ways of leading their teams and the organisation, and active in enabling their teams to continuously learn and adapt too
  • Leadership Academy: Support the VP Leadership and Learning to design and launch a Leadership Academy for adopting the ADDIE framework and the 70:20:10 approach. Act as a designer, lead trainer, facilitator, co-facilitator, event manager, or assessor (depending on program and vendor support), ensuring successful delivery of programmes on time, and to budget.  The Academy is likely to comprise:
  • Leadership Programmes: Develop and implement a small suite of high impact and scalable global leadership development programs
  • Management Programme: Develop and deliver remote learning solutions, leveraging emerging technologies for a highly interactive learner experience
  • High Potential Programmes: Work with external partners to develop and deliver development programmes for leadership HiPos
  • Succession Plan Solutions: Leverage talent analytics to implement development interventions that feed succession pipelines for business-critical roles
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Facilitate the provision of coaching and mentoring services to senior leaders
  • Executive Development: Support the VP Leadership and Learning to source on-demand executive development services
  • Leadership development strategy: Provide input to the leadership development strategy and actively promote associated plans and activities through multi-media to the global organisation
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the wider Talent & Culture team, ensuring leadership development interventions align with overarching learning principles, strategies and processes and integrate with the organisation’s talent, culture and performance management initiatives
  • External Talent Partners: Source and manage external talent partners to deliver high quality talent and leadership services
  • Continuous improvement: Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of leadership development activities, implement iterative improvements based on the feedback loop, and produce metrics to demonstrate successful outcomes
  • Health and Safety Environment: Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation, and HSES procedures

Critical Skills     Academic Qualifications:
  • Degree-level education and further education or certifications in adult learning preferred
Relevant Experience:
  • Instructional design accreditation and/or CIPD or equivalent accreditation in adult learning
  • Proven experience of delivering leadership development within the oil and gas industry or a similar complex, fast-paced environment
  • Experience of designing and implementing strategic leadership development programs that align with business objectives
  • Advanced training, facilitation, and presentation skills with senior leadership audiences
  • Experience in communicating with and influencing senior leaders, with the ability to engage and inspire leaders at all levels
  • Executive coaching experience preferred
  • Advanced training, facilitation, and presentation skills with senior leadership audiences
  • Pro-active and focused with the ability to manage conflicting demands and navigate ambiguity effectively
  • Experience with HR systems preferred
