NES Fircroft are partnered with an Energy industry giant who are looking to add a Lead Structural Engineer to their team working on a Conventional Gas project.
The role will work from client offices in either La Defense, Paris or alternatively sub contractor offices in London.
This role will be contract based and is to support FEED development of the project for an initial 12 months duration with excellent potential to extend well beyond. It offers a strong day rate and the opportunity to join a project in its early phases.
Role overview
The service holder shall be involved in the project FFD FEED and will manage the structural design and development for the onshore CPF project by reviewing studies, drawings, and evaluations in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards and contract requirements in the design, lay out, fabrication, construction sand commissioning.
The service holder will provide value adding knowledge to constructability reviews and check Civil / Structural deliverables of high complexity, including structural steel design drawings.
Activities
The service holder must possess strong experience in structural discipline and be able to identify, control and manage risks related to her or his scope of work and highlight any opportunities.
The Service holder shall:
▪ Coordinate all the structural discipline for the onshore CPF plant and interface with other disciplines.
▪ Ensure that industry standards, guidelines, and codes for project deliverables.
▪ Report design quantities compared to estimated quantities.
▪ Review all Structural drawings, and 3-D model deliverables within the discipline, participate in project
design/model reviews, Participate in constructability reviews.
▪ Review vendor information from subcontractors and integrate it into the design solution.
▪ Review detailed structural designs and plans.
▪ Prepare detailed reports and documentation.
▪ Ensure all designs meet necessary specification.
▪ Review and approve design changes and modifications.
▪ Provide technical support and guidance to project teams.
▪ Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
▪ Perform structural analysis and calculations.
▪ Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.
▪ Assist in the preparation of project proposals and bids.
▪ Participate in project meetings and reviews and provide input on material selection and construction methods. Identify and mitigate potential design risks.
▪ Ensure quality control and assurance throughout the design process.
▪ Shall be aware of HSE Standards.
▪ Update and maintain engineering documentation and drawings.
▪ Knowledge of environmental principles, practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and current Country legislative issues.
