NES Fircroft are working with a large water treatment company who is looking for a Lead Project Engineer, Electrical & Control bias, to work with them on a permanent basis!

Overview of the role:
The Lead Project Engineer will lead the Asset designs and water treatment projects. You will be based in the Peterborough office, you will spend most of your time across the office environment, in the Plant and on the shop floor, with occasional site visits and customer meetings.

What will your day-to-day look like?
  • Lead the electrical and controls design of water treatments assets globally
  • Lead, and provide Electrical / Controls support for the execution of Bridge, Complex Mobile and BOO projects
  • Responsible for design execution on time delivery and budget.
  • Good working knowledge of CE marking and UKCA certifications
  • Good working knowledge of NAM standards as UL and CSA design certifications and Standards
  • Skilled Electrical / Control panel designs and Equipment selection and sizing
  • Skilled Experience in PLC designs, troubleshooting and integration - preferably in PLC- Allan Bradley and Siemens
  • Leading I/O checks, commissioning and startups for newly designed equipment and plants.
  • Document creation, review, and approvals.
  • Sourcing suppliers and parts, and providing technical reviews of quotes
  • Collaborate with fabrication facilities, sourcing, and product management
  • Lead, coach, and train outsource engineering, working closely on detailed designs and drawings.
  • HAZOPs and product safety reviews.
  • Site visits for commissioning and troubleshooting


What skills will you have?
  • B.Sc. in an Engineering/science / Master or related technical experience
  • Relevant water treatment experience
  • Qualifications or certifications in electrical design and installations
  • Good knowledge of water process, electrical control, and mechanical designs
  • Able to work on material and equipment selection and sizing
  • Knowledge in PLC designs and Integrations - Allan Bradley and Siemens
  • Experience directly in an engineering design
  • Experience in a product/services business in water treatment
  • Strong water process and project management skills
  • Ability to drive projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and computer skills.
