NES Fircroft are partnered with an Energy industry giant who are looking to add a Lead Electrical Engineer to their team working on a Conventional Gas project.
The role will work from client offices in either La Defense, Paris or alternatively sub contractor offices in London.
This role will be contract based and is to support FEED development of the project for an initial 12 months duration with excellent potential to extend well beyond. It offers a strong day rate and the opportunity to join a project in its early phases.
Role overview
The service holder shall be involved in the project FFD FEED and leads the electrical discipline for the onshore CPF plant during FEED preparation and execution. The service holder will be responsible for supervising, capturing and reviewing electrical design requirements and features in particular the electrical connection to the external network. The service holder may also be involved in the current pre-feed extension studies. The Service Holder will be as well deeply involve in the FEED scope of work preparation until FEED sanction. During FEED, the service holder will oversee the performance of the FEED CTR on time and on budget FEED deliverable submission for her or his scope of work and as well actively participate in the EPC CFT preparation. The service Holder could as well be involved during the current pre-feed extension. The service holder will perform this work in accordance with Joint venture partner and project rules, guidelines and procedures.
Activities
The service holders must possess strong experience in Onshore electrical discipline, and be able to identify, control and manage risks related to her or his scope of work and highlight any opportunities.
This includes adhering to the Company Code of Conduct, Vision, Values and Behaviours, as supported by the Safe System of Working including Accountability of Safety.
The Service holder shall:
▪ Review all engineering and design works of electrical power transmission and distribution, including switching schemes and single line diagrams, power system analysis, protection and control schemes, three lines, logic diagrams, elementary and connection wiring diagrams, overhead buswork, layouts for power, lighting and grounding, lightning protection, AC and DC power supplies, communication, routing information for all cables.
▪ Perform design analysis and calculations.
▪ Provide technical assistance for product literature, decal, technical manual.
▪ Review CAD design layouts, schematics, models and recommend optimum solution
▪ Responsible for sub-system level motion control architect design, evaluate and test key components such as driver, motor, encoder. Power Simulation Assessments, including load flow, fault level, motor starting and harmonics.
▪ Familiar with design of “Power line”, “HV and LV switchboard” and “Earth grid design”.
▪ Carries out all service responsibilities in a safe manner.
▪ Ensure adequate inputs for the LLI definitions and associated CFT.
▪ Ensure any technical query and deviation requests are accurately monitored, replied to, and expedited in an appropriate timeframe.
▪ Update and maintain engineering documentation and drawings.
▪ Analyse system performance and find solution for Energy saving.
▪ Interface with the state electrical provider
