Laboratory Specialist PMR

Role:
·         To take responsibility for documentation, including that required for ISO certification, related to sampling and testing for incoming materials, in process materials and output of the Smelter, Electro Refinery, Sulphuric Acid Plant and ETP/ STP at the Central Laboratory in Indonesia and publication of periodic MIS             
·         To track daily consumables including spares to optimize usage and inventory levels  
·         To track and facilitate implementation of calibration and maintenance schedules of equipment at the Central Laboratory             

Focus Area:
1. Operational Excellence
·         Assisting in QC plan development, method development and validation.
·         Maximizing equipment availability by monitoring and facilitating timely calibration and maintenance of equipment
·         Managing data leveraging the Integrated Laboratory Management System (LIMS) with respect to sampling, testing, analysis, on time reporting
·         Taking responsibility for preparing ISO & SNI manual and documentation.
·         Implement of ISO:17025 & SNI certification to lab
·         Planning for procurement related to lab requirement with purchase team.
·         Planning for lab equipment servicing with coordination of purchase team.
·         Implementing SAP / LIMS in lab.
·         Facilitating internal audit for ISO:17025, QMS & SNI certification
·         Ensuring availability of consumable / spares in lab.

2. Compliance & Sustainability
·         Documenting safety related incidents and corrective action plan to contribute to a culture of safety at the Central Laboratory
·         Preparing all ISO certification related documentation

3. Profitability & Cost Optimization
·         Optimizing inventory and usage of consumables including spares at the Central Laboratory and RMH during shift operations

4. Customer Centricity
·         Generating periodic MIS
·         Minimizing internal and external customer response time of self and team

5. Talent Management
·         Learning on the job 



Specifications:
A. Education
·         Graduate in Chemistry or Diploma in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering
B. Experience
·         6-8 years in laboratory of process plants with at least 2-3 years of experience in leading teams
C. Technical Competencies
·         Understanding of laboratory management system
·         Understanding of copper smelting and refining operations as well as acid production
·         Understanding of quality systems
·         Proficiency in analytical tools and techniques
·         Understanding of health-safety and environment protocols
·         Knowledge of Lab instrument knowledge / commissioning- ICP, AAS, XRF, S-OES, Fire Assay, Auto-Titration, AFS, polishing /milling machine Oxygen analyzer, Sulphur analyzer, jaw crusher, rod mill, sample divider etc.
