NES Fircroft is seeking local candidates for an immediate job opportunity with one of the country’s largest chemical manufacturers for a Lab Technician at their King’s Mountain, NC plant. Job Details
Location: King’s Mountain, NC
Hours: 40 hours per week—some OT will be required.  
Pay Range: Negotiable based on experience  
Duration: Contract to Hire   

Responsibilities
  • Sets up and operates laboratory instruments to perform standardized testing in accordance to industry/ standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Can accurately perform integrations, explain analysis procedures to an evaluator, interrupt data, complete quality control checks. 
  • Conduct Sample Collection and work around acids and bases.
  • Conduct Sample Analysis and data interpretation.
  • Gas Chromatography.
  • Physical testing-Saybolt Color, Copper Corrosion, Vapor pressure analysis.
  • Shipping hazardous materials.
  • Test purity products to ensure we meet customer specifications.
Job Qualifications
  • Must have at least 3+ year of experience in a industrial laboratory environment.
  • Must have familiarity working with acids, bases, and solid chemicals.  
  • Previous industry experience within a chemical, pilot plant, or lithium manufacturing plant would be a big plus.
  • A college degree in biology, chemistry, or other lab focused educational spaces is strongly preferred.  
  • Candidates local to the King’s Mountain, NC region are highly preferred. No per diem or relocation stipends offered to out of market candidates.
